Lovely words from Charlotte after I played for their wedding at The Riverbarn in May 2025.
They are such a gorgeous couple and I was happy to arrange a mash-up of Abba songs for Charlotte’s entrance including ‘Slipping Through My Fingers,’ ‘Take a Chance on Me,’ ‘Dancing Queen,’ and ‘Chiquitita.’

The Riverbarn is a beautiful, rustic, exclusive wedding venue close to the River Wyre in Lancashire. I’m proud to be a recommended supplier at this beautiful venue which is a stunning space to hold your wedding, with the added luxury of gorgeous accommodation within both the Manor House and the Oak Tree Cabins.
My white ‘dutchgrand’ is a lovely addition to this room which has a Bose sound system to help make a fabulous sound with the superb acoustics. It’s so nice to have a bespoke live instrumental piano version of your favourite song as you walk down the aisle.
I am very lucky to have played at The Riverbarn many times and was especially pleased to play for some close friends of the owners, who were the first couple to get married there after its amazing refurbishment and reinvention in 2022.
In summer 2023 I was honoured to play for Jason and Joe Whitesmith at The Riverbarn. I have known and worked with Jason for many years as he is the events manager at Knowsley Hall. Jason wanted to choose his favourite suppliers to use at his own wedding and I was pleased and proud to be able to play for him on this special moment in his life.
Jason and Joe wanted a mash up of two songs, one to represent each of them. And so I arranged a special entrance song especially for them, ‘Beauty and the Beast’ for Jason and ‘Smash into you’ by Beyoncé for Joe. I was able to use my musical proficiency to extend each part of the piece on the day, to fit in with the timing of each groom as they walked down the aisle, behind their own entourage of bridesmaids and special guests. I also played during the drinks reception, performing from my repertoire, with a mixture of songs of all styles.
Jason was kind enough to write me an amazing review saying
