Liverpool Wedding Pianist

When they were looking for a Liverpool Wedding Pianist, Joseph and Michael found Liz Hendry exhibiting in the State Dining Room at Knowsley Hall, as she is one of the recommended suppliers. https://knowsleyhallvenue.co.uk/
Massive congratulations to Joseph and Michael who were married in May at their very stylish Knowsley Hall wedding. They made their beautiful entrance together to ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love’ and what an amazing exit song, – ‘Video Killed The Radio Star!’
What a wonderful couple to work for. They were so kind and such lovely people. Liz was thrilled and honoured that they chose her to provide their music.

Liverpool Wedding Pianist Review

Some kind words from Joseph and Michael

Why did you book Liz Hendry?

When we first met Liz, her kindness, professionalism, and amazing skill convinced us immediately that Liz would make our wedding day perfect. We heard Liz play at an open evening and straight away we started the booking process. Subsequently we met many couples and other suppliers who each recommended Liz – so we knew we made the right choice, but we definitely would have been contacting Liz then if we hadn’t had the pleasure of meeting her already.

What effect did Liz’s playing have on your wedding?

Our guests loved Liz’s work and we can’t recount the number of people who told us they enjoyed Liz’s music. Liz really perfected our day and lifted the atmosphere. Incredibly kindly, Liz was able to play something special for our exit music which wasn’t in her repertoire. There’s something extra special that Liz brings to her work – ontop of her brilliant music and skill, Liz’s warm smile and welcoming approach to her work helped us relax and really enjoy our day.

Would you recommend Liz to others?

Definitely! The real difficultly came from working with Liz to select the best music for our day! Liz has such a large and varied repertoire that we wanted to hear everything! With such a large, varied and fun repertoire you’ll be able to find many, many songs and pieces you can’t wait to hear.

Any additional comments

The booking, contract and deposit and payment process was great. We could keep and download copies of all information and receipts at any time. Liz took time to make sure we understood the booking process, answered all questions we had, and provided us with very clear and easy-to-use website and booking information.

Wow what a spectacular day for Sinead and Joseph as they celebrated becoming the new Mr and Mrs Brannan. This wedding was at Eaves Hall which is an absolutely stunning, luxurious venue, just outside Clitheroe.https://www.jamesplaces.com/eaves-hall/

Sinead found me playing at a wedding fair when she was on the lookout for an Eaves Hall Pianist.

I loved playing for their ceremony and drinks reception featuring ‘I Get To Love You’ for bridal entrance, and a special arrangement I did for Sinead of ‘Lifetime’ by Justin Bieber.

Your ceremony in The Great Hall at Lancashire Manor

We bring a portable, white, Dutch Grand piano, with Bose sound system to provide the perfect soundtrack as your guests take their seats, you walk down the aisle, sign the marriage schedule and exit together as a newly married couple.

Recommended Suppliers at Lancashire Manor

As recommended suppliers as Lancashire Manor, both myself and my husband Mark The Piano Guy have performed at many weddings in the Great Hall, both individually and together in our ‘Unforgettable Package.’ We are proud of our record of 100% satisfaction with all our couples giving positive feedback about how we helped to make their wedding day even more special. You can often find myself or Mark performing at the venue wedding fairs and open days along side the other recommended suppliers.

I received a lovely review on Facebook from Mrs Becky Hulme saying

”Liz played at our wedding at the Lancashire Manor in September. I can honestly say this was one of our favourite parts. From the start, Liz gets your personal input on the songs and can also help with suggestions on other songs to play throughout the service.
As she started to play my entry song the hairs stood up on the back of my neck, it was perfect.
All our guests commented how beautiful the music was and how personalised it was as they recognised our favourite songs (some rock songs made into beautiful ballads)
I would highly recommend Liz to anyone who wants the perfect personal touch to their wedding.”

Another lovely review came from Mr and Mrs Gibson

“We couldn’t thank Liz enough. She played through our ceremony and wedding breakfast and she was absolutely perfect. She helped set such a wonderful atmosphere and I lost count of just how many people commented on the music being played. I would (and will be doing) highly recommend Liz to anyone who is looking at getting married in the future. Once again, thankyou Liz for helping our day be even better than we could have hoped for.”
Mr and Mrs Gibson

We loved celebrating with Shevaughn and Andrew who booked both of us (Mark and Liz) to play for them all day. We received this wonderful review from Shevaughn.

“Cannot thank Mark and Liz enough for the amazing job entertaining both us and all of our guests at our wedding this weekend!
Mark – beautiful music for our ceremony and great entertainment throughout the day. A special thank you for making our speeches a little bit different too.
Liz – perfect mood setting during the drinks reception and fantastic ensemble of Disney and musical theatre tunes at our request through our breakfast! We loved watching people recognising each one you played!
Just a massive thank you and highly recommended to anyone considering you for any special occasion!
Thank you, thank you, thank you xxx”

I am very lucky to have played at The Riverbarn many times and was especially pleased to play for some close friends of the owners, who were the first couple to get married there after its amazing refurbishment and reinvention in 2022.

The Wedding of The Whitesmiths at The Riverbarn

In summer 2023 I was honoured to play for Jason and Joe Whitesmith at The Riverbarn. I have known and worked with Jason for many years as he is the events manager at Knowsley Hall. Jason wanted to choose his favourite suppliers to use at his own wedding and I was pleased and proud to be able to play for him on this special moment in his life.
Jason and Joe wanted a mash up of two songs, one to represent each of them. And so I arranged a special entrance song especially for them, ‘Beauty and the Beast’ for Jason and ‘Smash into you’ by Beyoncé for Joe. I was able to use my musical proficiency to extend each part of the piece on the day, to fit in with the timing of each groom as they walked down the aisle, behind their own entourage of bridesmaids and special guests. I also played during the drinks reception, performing from my repertoire, with a mixture of songs of all styles.

A Review from The Whitesmiths after their wedding at The Riverbarn

Jason was kind enough to write me an amazing review saying

“This amazing Lady was always going to be part of our wedding day! From the moment I met Liz at Knowsley hall (where I work) and working alongside each other at numerous weddings and events she really is the best of the best! Myself and my new husband Joseph Smith can’t thank her enough for making our day the best day possible ❤️❤️ she even learnt Joseph’s aisle song (Beyoncé – Smash in to you) from scratch because she knew how much it meant to us. If you are looking for a Pianist please look no further! I am honoured to call this lady a friend she’s magical 🩷 you will forever be part of our special day and there are no words to thank you for making our wedding the best it possibly could be! Love you lots Liz 😘😘 all our love the whitesmiths ❤️❤️🏳️‍🌈”

The Mere Court

I am delighted to be one of the recommended suppliers at the Mere Court Hotel near Knutsford. I can often be found playing the piano at the regular open evenings or wedding fairs. Both myself and my husband Mark the Piano Guy https://www.thepianoguy.co.uk love playing at The Mere Court as it is a very versatile welcoming and pretty wedding venue in Cheshire. https://www.merecourt.co.uk

Using a Piano at The Mere Court

When booking a pianist at The Mere Court, there are several areas available for your wedding ceremony and my piano can be set up in any of them. I always work with a ‘Dutch grand’ electric white baby grand piano which is portable and can be moved around the venue as necessary. Moving the piano takes about 10 minutes. Couples often book me for their ceremony and drinks reception, or their ceremony and wedding breakfast, or some book me for the whole of their daytime. I am keen to help take the stress out of choosing ceremony music, by offering a FaceTime consultation to give advice and play examples for my clients.

Music for the drinks reception adds a lovely, classy ambience during photographs and mingling, and music throughout the wedding breakfast adds a beautiful soundtrack to the meal, adding background music without dominating too much.

The Conservatory

The conservatory is a beautiful light room that is often used for larger weddings ceremonies and is used for most wedding breakfasts. I can set up anywhere within this room.

The Arboreum

Another popular ceremony location at the Mere Court is the Arboreum which is a lovely room for up to 80 guests. I have played for many ceremonies using my Dutch Grand in the Arboreum but if you are close to capacity on your numbers I can also use a white piano on a stand which takes up much less room.

Outside in the Gardens

In the summer months, when the weather is fine, a beautiful option is to get married in the gardens at The Mere Court. The grounds are truly amazing for an unforgettable wedding ceremony. I am able to set up and play for your wedding outside as long as it is dry.

Cheshire Wedding Pianist

Cheshire wedding pianist Liz Hendry was back at Sandhole Oakbarn to play on a beautiful sunny day for Joy and Ryan. The ceremony was in the amazing barn conducted by Cheshire East Registration service, or as they are widely known, Your Ceremony, with a gorgeous view of the Sandhole Lake in the background. https://yourceremony.org.uk/

Cheshire wedding pianist playing modern songs

Joy and Ryan were really keen to have modern music in their ceremony and Joy walked down the aisle to Liz’s version of ‘Symphony’ by Clean Bandit, which is a lovely choice and really unique. The exit song was ‘Clocks’ by Coldplay which is a great upbeat tune, full of energy for the Grand Exit. The piano at Sandhole Oakbarn is well looked after and in amazing condition so it’s always a pleasure to play it.

Outdoor drinks reception – Cheshire Wedding Pianist

Due to the amazing weather, everyone headed outside for photos during the drinks reception where Liz had set up her portable piano under the clock tower to play and entertain the guests during drinks and canapés from Top Table, who provided the catering for this lovely Cheshire wedding. Liz continued with modern covers of popular songs, everything from Oasis, Louis Capaldi with some film music, dance tunes, and indie and rock thrown in. Andy Griffiths was there taking pictures and family shots in front of the lake, and capturing all the fun in a natural way as it happened on the day.

“Liz played at our wedding September 2022. From the moment we met Liz and listened to her music at Mottram open day back in 2020 we knew she was perfect! We had to post pone our day to covid and Liz was able to move our day to the new date 😊 Liz is so down to earth and gave us lots of recommendations on songs and listened to our thoughts on what we liked. I had a call with her a couple of weeks before the big day and Liz played our walk down the aisle song and entrance song to make sure it was perfect. On our day she played absolutely beautifully. All of our guests commented on how lovely it was to listen to through the wedding breakfast.
Highly highly recommend!!! Liz you are amazing!!”

Colshaw Hall Pianist – 3 AMAZING recent weddings

It’s a pleasure to be a visiting Colshaw Hall Pianist. Here are 3 recent weddings there. I had a wonderful time celebrating with Hannah and Tom at Colshaw Hall. I really enjoyed playing the Fleetwood Mac version of ‘Songbird’ for Hannah as she walked down the aisle, as well as some cool tunes for Tom including The Mandalorian Theme and The Super Mario Brothers Theme. I’m happy to learn one or two new songs for each bride and groom. I think it is important for the ceremony music to be a reflection of each couple!

It was great to see Harvey Films https://harveyfilms.com/ (thanks for the unexpected roadie help!!) and wonderful to work with Ian the toastmaster and Tracy from Colshaw Hall who are both really friendly, helpful and great fun.

Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Johnson!
