I can set up my portable white ‘Dutchgrand’ in any of the areas, allowing me to play for a wedding ceremony, drinks reception, wedding breakfast, or even all three parts of the day. This venue always looks great, whatever the weather and you have the great option of the ceremony garden if the weather is on your side. I loved playing outside here many times last year, and Gemma from Bluebells & Daisies is always on hand to enhance your wedding with stunning flowers, alongside the fabulous The Striped Kitchen who provide delicious catering. Jaydi, Leah, Claire and the rest of the Wyresdale team are so welcoming and great at running an amazing wedding!

Wyresdale Weddings Pianist – Mia and Leon.

It was a pleasure to play for the lovely Mia and Leon on Tuesday 25th March 2025, all day at Wyresdale Weddings. Songs included ‘Amazed’ by Lonestar, ‘Tightrope’ from The Greatest Showman and the traditional wedding march exit. I loved the Country music theme at the wedding and the cake was amazing with the little cowboy boots! Both Mia and Leon looked absolutely gorgeous!!

It was wonderful to be back at Wyresdale Park and as one of their recommended suppliers I was thrilled to see the amazing changes and renovations that have been done in such a short time, including the beautiful new entertainment space and the gorgeous arrival area outside.

I was thrilled and honoured yesterday to play for Charlotte and Isaac on the 11th April 2025 in the first outdoor ceremony at Wyresdale Weddings on a glorious, sunny day!!! What a beautiful bride and handsome groom and they are so wonderful together!

I loved the bridal entrance procession which was my arrangement of I Giorni blended with ‘Glow’ by Scouting for Girls, which is a special song for Charlotte and Isaac. And what an amazing place to say their vows in this walled garden with the beautiful countryside all around and the rolling hills in the background!

Wyresdale Weddings Pianist – Eleanor and Andrew

This wedding at Wyresdale Weddings on the 15th of April was fabulous!! Eleanor and Andrew both looked amazing on their wedding day and I really loved Eleanor’s style! The music choices which made this wedding so unique included Neck Deep, Foo Fighters, The Offspring, mixed in with some Disney and the beautiful ‘How Long Will I Love You’ for bridal entrance.

The ceremony was perfect, conducted by the lovely Jean from Lancashire Registration Service and the Wyresdale team were super organised as usual – thanks to Claire, Jaydi and Robyn.

Wow it was wall to wall sun yesterday for Alex and Jamie-Lea who were married outside in the glorious sunshine at Wyresdale Weddings on the 15th of May. All their guests loved it here and spent most of the afternoon outside enjoying the amazing surroundings. There were many happy tears when Jamie-Lea walked down the aisle looking beautiful to ‘A Thousand Years’ – an absolute wedding classic!

I then moved to the gorgeous new outdoor area here at Wyresdale Park to play for drinks reception and during photos.

On Saturday 23rd August, I was so pleased to be back at Wyresdale Weddings playing for the beautiful Joanne and her lovely groom Martyn.
Joanne chose a lovely Canon/Here comes the bride/Widest Dreams mash up for her entrance and she looked stunning as she walked down the aisle.

After the ceremony we all went outside for a drinks reception in the sun, using the fabulous outside bar and seating area here at Wyresdale Park.

Big congratulations to Natalie and Mike who were married on Sunday 24th August in a stunning ceremony at Wyresdale Park. The weather was very kind and we had the ceremony and drinks reception outside, before enjoying a brilliant wedding breakfast supplied by The Striped Kitchen.

We had planned a lovely entrance for Natalie with Canon in D for the bridesmaids followed by the gorgeous ‘Lullaby’ by Nickelback and we also added an impromptu ‘Friends Theme’ for her lovely flower man!

Wyresdale Weddings Pianist- Sammy and Richard

On Tuesday 26th August Sammy and Richard had their wonderful wedding at Wyresdale Park. It all started with a gorgeous ceremony conducted by the lovely Jean from Lancashire Registration service. Sammy walked down the aisle to ‘Glitter in the Air’ by Pink which is so unique and a great choice for a slightly more upbeat bridal entrance! Both Sammy and Richard looked amazing and everyone was thrilled to witness them say their vows.

Wyresdale Weddings Pianist – Amy and Matthew

Huge congratulations to Amy and Matthew who were married on the 30th October at the beautiful Wyresdale Weddings at Wyresdale Park. So much planning had gone into this amazing wedding and everything was perfect for this wonderful couple. Amy looked stunning as she walked in the aisle to my favourite mashup, Canon in D with ‘Can’t help falling in love.’ This one works so perfectly and it’s very adaptable to fit with any size of bridal party. It was a beautiful moment as Amy walked in to ‘Can’t help falling in love.’

I particularly loved that Matthew and Amy chose songs that had featured in both of their parents weddings to be played as they signed the marriage schedule – ‘Always’ by Atlantic Starr and ‘Lady in Red’ by Chris de Burgh
I played a selection of songs for everyone during the wedding breakfast.

On Saturday the 13th December, it was wonderful to spend the whole day with Charlotte and Danny at their spectacular Wedding at Wyresdale Weddings at Wyresdale Park. They both looked fabulous and all the guests were having a really brilliant time!

The bridal entrance was chosen with lots of thought from Charlotte and consisted of ‘The Best Day’ by Taylor Swift, Dancing Queen by Abba, Here comes the bride and ‘I Guess That’s Why They Call it the Blues’ which was a little football reference! Love it!!

This was a beautiful autumnal wedding for Emily and Adam at the Wild Boar Estate.
Wow it was so cosy and beautiful with all the autumn colours and real fires burning. Songs during the ceremony included ‘Iris’ by the Goo Goo Dolls and the ‘Lord of the rings’ theme. Liz was pleased to play for both the ceremony and the Wedding Breakfast and this lovely Inn was quickly transformed from a ceremony room into a cosy dining area where guests were served a delicious meal and wine.

Lake District Pianist – Lindeth Fell Country House

This intimate wedding in the Lake District on was just so stunning!!!!!! Hannah and Arthur planned a beautiful occasion at the amazing 5 star Lindeth Fell Country House and everything was perfect, from the warm welcome to the wonderful tree and roaring fire!! I was delighted to play for their ceremony and Hannah chose a lovely selection of music from all genres. The entrance music, a blend of ‘Canon in D’ with ‘Here Comes the Sun’ was the perfect combination of traditional and modern. Mr and Mrs Parker were married at Ashfield House, Standish, Lancashire in April 2024

Liz played at our wedding for the ceremony, drink reception, and the wedding breakfast. Her music was breathtaking and she ensured all the pieces she played were to our liking. The communication that Liz offered was second to none! She was always available to answer any of our questions on the lead up to the wedding which made us feel at ease amongst the craziness of all the planning. But besides this, what Liz did for my husband and I put the cherry on top… She took two of our most favourite songs, which had no piano sheet music may I add, and created the most perfect mash up for me to walk down the aisle to. Her experience and skills shone through when we first heard the sample and we were totally amazed at what she was capable of. The moment I walked down the aisle was certainly one of the best memories. My husband and I truly felt that the music became the theme tune to the beginning of the rest of our lives together.

We cannot thank you enough Liz, you were amazing from start to finish and your music created such a great atmosphere throughout the day.

Mr and Mrs Gregory were married at Barton Manor, Preston, in August 2024

We had the absolute pleasure of Liz playing at our wedding on Friday for our ceremony and drinks reception and all I can say is wow! we got our wedding video back last night and being able to watch it back and see all the bits we missed was amazing. Liz is so so talented and it was exactly the kind of atmosphere we were hoping for, all our guests loved it and it was a massive talking point of the day. Liz even took the time out of her day to come and see us and introduce herself which was a lovely touch.

The Riverbarn

The Riverbarn is a beautiful, rustic, exclusive wedding venue close to the River Wyre in Lancashire. I’m proud to be a recommended supplier at this beautiful venue which is a stunning space to hold your wedding, with the added luxury of gorgeous accommodation within both the Manor House and the Oak Tree Cabins.

My white ‘dutchgrand’ is a lovely addition to this room which has a Bose sound system to help make a fabulous sound with the superb acoustics. It’s so nice to have a bespoke live instrumental piano version of your favourite song as you walk down the aisle.

The Wedding of The Whitesmiths at The Riverbarn

In summer 2023 I was honoured to play for Jason and Joe Whitesmith at The Riverbarn. I have known and worked with Jason for many years as he is the events manager at Knowsley Hall. Jason wanted to choose his favourite suppliers to use at his own wedding and I was pleased and proud to be able to play for him on this special moment in his life.
Jason and Joe wanted a mash up of two songs, one to represent each of them. And so I arranged a special entrance song especially for them, ‘Beauty and the Beast’ for Jason and ‘Smash into you’ by Beyoncé for Joe. I was able to use my musical proficiency to extend each part of the piece on the day, to fit in with the timing of each groom as they walked down the aisle, behind their own entourage of bridesmaids and special guests. I also played during the drinks reception, performing from my repertoire, with a mixture of songs of all styles.

The Mere Court

Using a Piano at The Mere Court

When booking a pianist at The Mere Court, there are several areas available for your wedding ceremony and my piano can be set up in any of them. I always work with a ‘Dutch grand’ electric white baby grand piano which is portable and can be moved around the venue as necessary. Moving the piano takes about 10 minutes. Couples often book me for their ceremony and drinks reception, or their ceremony and wedding breakfast, or some book me for the whole of their daytime. I am keen to help take the stress out of choosing ceremony music, by offering a FaceTime consultation to give advice and play examples for my clients.

Music for the drinks reception adds a lovely, classy ambience during photographs and mingling, and music throughout the wedding breakfast adds a beautiful soundtrack to the meal, adding background music without dominating too much.

The Conservatory

The conservatory is a beautiful light room that is often used for larger weddings ceremonies and is used for most wedding breakfasts. I can set up anywhere within this room.

The Arboreum

Another popular ceremony location at the Mere Court is the Arboreum which is a lovely room for up to 80 guests. I have played for many ceremonies using my Dutch Grand in the Arboreum but if you are close to capacity on your numbers I can also use a white piano on a stand which takes up much less room.

The Dunkerley

This recently refurbished room has a lovely contemporary look and can hold up to 100 guests. It is a great setting for exchanging your vows.

Outside in the Gardens

In the summer months, when the weather is fine, a beautiful option is to get married in the gardens at The Mere Court. The grounds are truly amazing for an unforgettable wedding ceremony. I am able to set up and play for your wedding outside as long as it is dry.

I have also played for drinks receptions outside at The Mere Court on dry days. If the weather is changeable and guest are popping in and out of the bar area, I can set up in the bar with the windows and door open, so that the music can be heard all around.

When Sophie and David got married at Mottram Hall!!!! What wedding! A most stunning bride, gorgeous groom and lovely guests in beautiful surroundings.

Lasting memories weddings and events absolutely smashed it with amazing room dressing and it made for a really romantic setting with live piano music to add to the atmosphere.

In April Mr and Mrs Webster had an amazing wedding at the The Villa Wrea Green. I played for an emotional ceremony and there was a very fun crowd supporting this lovely couple. (Plus some unusual, gorgeous, furry guests. Alpacas!) After playing for the ceremony in the hall, I played during the drinks reception in the piano lounge.

Mere Court Wedding

After a couple of postponements of her Mere Court Wedding, I was thrilled to finally play beautiful Laura down the aisle when she married her lovely partner Fez in the Arboreum. As you can see here they were married in front of this lovely window over looking the gardens at the Mere Court, which is just outside Knutsford. Friends and family had travelled from all over the UK to celebrate with them and they enjoyed amazing food, drinks and lots of fun here at this wonderful Mere Court wedding. I played throughout the meal for them and then I particularly enjoyed the speeches which were really entertaining.

Bartle Hall was the setting for this beautiful winter wedding and Claire and Tim were an amazing and lovely couple to work for with great taste in music. Featured songs were ‘True’ by Spandau Ballet and ‘Hey Ho’ by the Lumineers. Their guests really knew how to celebrate and were all having a great time.

Myself and Tim cannot thank Liz enough for making our wedding day the day it was. It was the most easiest decision to make on hearing her play at the Bartle Hall open day back in April, as soon as we heard her we wanted her! We booked her there and then, had a lovely call with her to go over the song choices and she just got us and what we’re about. We wanted a song from the Lumineers for the brides entrance song. It wasn’t listed on her repertoire but Liz did it for us, absolutely loved it!!!

Such a talented Pianist and can literally play anything. She gave us goose pimples throughout the ceremony and all through dinner, everyone in the room loved her and commented. Thank you Liz for such a wonderful vibe at our wedding, you were definitely meant to be and so glad we saw you when we did. You’re amazing! Thank you! Claire and Tim xxx

Jessica and John were married at the beautiful Sandhole Oak Barn in Cheshire with bespoke piano music from Liz Hendry who they highly recommend!

Sandhole Oak Barn is a another fantastic cheshire wedding venue. This is particularly nice because they have a lovely, well maintained grand piano in the ceremony room. However, to give the bride and groom flexibility to hold their wedding drinks reception outside by the water, Liz was happy to set up the Dutchgrand white baby grand piano under the pergola by the water. Just wanted to say a huge thank you again to Liz for playing at our wedding. We cannot recommend Liz enough. She is so lovely and right from the beginning we knew she would make our day extra special. She has such a wide repertoire and was accommodating to all our requests for the day. Her playing is absolutely stunning and it just added that extra special sparkle to our day. We had so so many comments from our guests about how good she was – one guest even said they wanted to take her home with her!! We would 100% recommend her for any weddings/special occasions.

Mandy and Emily were married in a simply stunning ceremony at Ashfield House with piano music from Liz Hendry

Ashfield House is an award winning wedding venue in Standish. Live Piano Ltd are honoured to be one of the recommended providers for their weddings and we frequently attend their open evenings. This is where Mandy and Emily first met Liz Hendry and heard her piano music. It is a fantastic idea to go and see a wedding venue when it is all set up for a beautiful wedding. We find that our piano music is a great addition to the atmosphere of any wedding venue, particularly so at Ashfield house as our brides will confirm. The first time we heard Liz was at a wedding open evening at Ashfield House. As we walked into the ceremony room she started playing ‘Heaven.’ It was simply stunning! We looked at each other and knew not only had we found our venue but also the person who would be playing as we walked down the aisle.
On the day she was truly amazing, and even better than we remembered. She set the atmosphere and pretty much brought a tear to everyone’s eye. If you are looking for live piano music for your ceremony, reception drinks or wedding breakfast then look no further. We cannot thank you enough Liz. You were fantastic.

A Beautiful Bartle Hall Wedding

I had the honour of being part of a beautiful wedding at multi-award winning venue, Bartle Hall, near Preston.

Hayley and Anthony had a lovely ceremony here followed by a full day and evening of celebrations surrounded by their family and close friends. Bartle Hall is such a versatile and stylish venue where the guests can all relax and socialise as the wedding party move around the venue for the different parts of the wedding day. The grounds looked stunning for Hayley and Anthony’s outdoor photographs taken by Kris Clarke Photography and the bar was cosy and festive, a great warm place to rest when the weather outside got a little cold.

It was fantastic to be able to play some really unique and unusual music choices for Mr and Mrs Fox during their ceremony.

Beautiful bride, Hayley walked down the aisle to ‘Kissing You’ from Romeo and Juliet. What a romantic choice! I then arranged ‘The Power Of Love’ by Gabriella Alpin/ Frankie Goes to Hollywood and ‘Real Love’ by Tom Odell/ John Lennon. It’s great to listen to these beautiful modern versions of classic hits and then make my own, instrumental piano version of them to make a special performance for my brides and grooms.
