I played at my most regular venue, Bartle Hall, for Atlanta and Anthony in May 2025 on a glorious sunny day. I’m the recommended pianist at Bartle Hall and always delighted to be able to play for their open events and trial meals where I get to meet couples who are planning their wedding, and play for them. It was wonderful to meet Atlanta and Anthony and work with them to plan their important song choices. We were so thrilled that it was a sunny day and I was able to play outside for the drinks reception.

Jamie-Lee and Billy picked the perfect day to get married at the beginning of May at Bartle Hall in the sunshine. Jamie had recorded a wonderful message which was played for Billy before she walked down the aisle to an arrangement of Wildest Dreams and Here Comes the Bride. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house! Jamie sent a fantastic review! Congratulations to a lovely couple and I wish them a lifetime of happiness.

Here is another review from one of my fabulous Bartle Hall couples, Ste and Nicole. They were married in August 2026. I met Ste and Nicole at one of Bartle Hall’s open events, where you can often find me playing as their recommended pianist.

Thank you Liz. We absolutely love the music provided and my only regret is not sitting down in the lounge and listening during the drinks reception to soak it all in. We have had so many compliments and I keep recommending you to friends who are engaged.
The Riverbarn is a beautiful, rustic, exclusive wedding venue close to the River Wyre in Lancashire. I’m proud to be a recommended supplier at this beautiful venue which is a stunning space to hold your wedding, with the added luxury of gorgeous accommodation within both the Manor House and the Oak Tree Cabins.

My white ‘dutchgrand’ is a lovely addition to this room which has a Bose sound system to help make a fabulous sound with the superb acoustics. It’s so nice to have a bespoke live instrumental piano version of your favourite song as you walk down the aisle.

I am very lucky to have played at The Riverbarn many times and was especially pleased to play for some close friends of the owners, who were the first couple to get married there after its amazing refurbishment and reinvention in 2022.

The Wedding of The Whitesmiths at The Riverbarn
In summer 2023 I was honoured to play for Jason and Joe Whitesmith at The Riverbarn. I have known and worked with Jason for many years as he is the events manager at Knowsley Hall. Jason wanted to choose his favourite suppliers to use at his own wedding and I was pleased and proud to be able to play for him on this special moment in his life. Jason and Joe wanted a mash up of two songs, one to represent each of them. And so I arranged a special entrance song especially for them, ‘Beauty and the Beast’ for Jason and ‘Smash into you’ by Beyoncé for Joe. I was able to use my musical proficiency to extend each part of the piece on the day, to fit in with the timing of each groom as they walked down the aisle, behind their own entourage of bridesmaids and special guests. I also played during the drinks reception, performing from my repertoire, with a mixture of songs of all styles.
A Review from The Whitesmiths after their wedding at The Riverbarn
Jason was kind enough to write me an amazing review saying
“This amazing Lady was always going to be part of our wedding day! From the moment I met Liz at Knowsley hall (where I work) and working alongside each other at numerous weddings and events she really is the best of the best! Myself and my new husband Joseph Smith can’t thank her enough for making our day the best day possible ❤️❤️ she even learnt Joseph’s aisle song (Beyoncé – Smash in to you) from scratch because she knew how much it meant to us. If you are looking for a Pianist please look no further! I am honoured to call this lady a friend she’s magical 🩷 you will forever be part of our special day and there are no words to thank you for making our wedding the best it possibly could be! Love you lots Liz 😘😘 all our love the whitesmiths ❤️❤️🏳️🌈”
The photographer for the day was Jeff Langhorne and I was pleased to get this great image that he took whilst I was playing for the drinks reception. Jeff’s website is here https://jefflanghorne.com

I am delighted to be one of the recommended suppliers at the Mere Court Hotel near Knutsford. I can often be found playing the piano at the regular open evenings or wedding fairs. Both myself and my husband Mark the Piano Guy https://www.thepianoguy.co.uk love playing at The Mere Court as it is a very versatile welcoming and pretty wedding venue in Cheshire. https://www.merecourt.co.uk

Using a Piano at The Mere Court
When booking a pianist at The Mere Court, there are several areas available for your wedding ceremony and my piano can be set up in any of them. I always work with a ‘Dutch grand’ electric white baby grand piano which is portable and can be moved around the venue as necessary. Moving the piano takes about 10 minutes. Couples often book me for their ceremony and drinks reception, or their ceremony and wedding breakfast, or some book me for the whole of their daytime. I am keen to help take the stress out of choosing ceremony music, by offering a FaceTime consultation to give advice and play examples for my clients.
Music for the drinks reception adds a lovely, classy ambience during photographs and mingling, and music throughout the wedding breakfast adds a beautiful soundtrack to the meal, adding background music without dominating too much.
The Conservatory
The conservatory is a beautiful light room that is often used for larger weddings ceremonies and is used for most wedding breakfasts. I can set up anywhere within this room.
Piano at The Mere Court in The Conservatory
The Arboreum
Another popular ceremony location at the Mere Court is the Arboreum which is a lovely room for up to 80 guests. I have played for many ceremonies using my Dutch Grand in the Arboreum but if you are close to capacity on your numbers I can also use a white piano on a stand which takes up much less room.

Outside in the Gardens
In the summer months, when the weather is fine, a beautiful option is to get married in the gardens at The Mere Court. The grounds are truly amazing for an unforgettable wedding ceremony. I am able to set up and play for your wedding outside as long as it is dry.
An outside ceremony at The Mere CourtAn outside ceremony with a live pianist
I have also played for drinks receptions outside at The Mere Court on dry days. If the weather is changeable and guest are popping in and out of the bar area, I can set up in the bar with the windows and door open, so that the music can be heard all around.

Blended in so well and the music was just lovely. Such a lovely lady was a pleasure to have her at our special day. Would recommend her to everyone! Xx“
Mr and Mrs Brooman were married recently in a stunning outside ceremony, and I was delighted to play for them all day, for the outside ceremony, outside drinks reception, and the delicious wedding breakfast in the conservatory.

Alesha and Rob McMahon
It was lovely to play for Alesha and Rob in the Mere court bar area for the drinks reception and the wedding breakfast in the conservatory.

Mr and Mrs McMahon asked for a wide selection of music during their wedding breakfast. I included Sky Full of Stars (Coldplay) Wings (Birdy) Wildest Dreams (Taylor Swift) and One Day Like This (Elbow) Alesha wrote a recommendation on my Facebook page saying, “After seeing Liz at a wedding fair we knew that she would be a wonderful addition to our wedding day. When Sophie and David got married at Mottram Hall!!!! What wedding! A most stunning bride, gorgeous groom and lovely guests in beautiful surroundings.
Lasting memories weddings and events absolutely smashed it with amazing room dressing and it made for a really romantic setting with live piano music to add to the atmosphere.
There was fabulous documentation thanks to Andy Griffiths Photography and James Tracey Films and I know that the evening entertainment would’ve been fabulous as they had Andy Murphy DJ
Sophie was kind enough to write me a lovely review on my Facebook page about her dream wedding at Mottram Hall.
“Liz played at our wedding September 2022. From the moment we met Liz and listened to her music at Mottram open day back in 2020 we knew she was perfect! We had to post pone our day to covid and Liz was able to move our day to the new date 😊 Liz is so down to earth and gave us lots of recommendations on songs and listened to our thoughts on what we liked. I had a call with her a couple of weeks before the big day and Liz played our walk down the aisle song and entrance song to make sure it was perfect. On our day she played absolutely beautifully. All of our guests commented on how lovely it was to listen to through the wedding breakfast. Highly highly recommend!!! Liz you are amazing!!” See more reviews on my reviews page https://www.lizhendry.co.uk/category/reviews/
It’s a pleasure to be a visiting Colshaw Hall Pianist. Here are 3 recent weddings there. I had a wonderful time celebrating with Hannah and Tom at Colshaw Hall. I really enjoyed playing the Fleetwood Mac version of ‘Songbird’ for Hannah as she walked down the aisle, as well as some cool tunes for Tom including The Mandalorian Theme and The Super Mario Brothers Theme. I’m happy to learn one or two new songs for each bride and groom. I think it is important for the ceremony music to be a reflection of each couple!
It was great to see Harvey Films https://harveyfilms.com/ (thanks for the unexpected roadie help!!) and wonderful to work with Ian the toastmaster and Tracy from Colshaw Hall who are both really friendly, helpful and great fun.
Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Johnson!

Katherine and Andrew had the most amazing day at the very beautiful and luxurious Colshaw Hall in Cheshire. I loved playing the piano for their ceremony and drinks reception and what lovely guests they had who were enjoying the beautiful surroundings whilst celebrating with Mr and Mrs Scully. Katherine chose a gorgeous entrance piece which was the John Mayer version of ‘XO,’ which I loved arranging for her, especially the beautiful introduction. I was also pleased to play another of my favourite songs for the grand exit, ‘Clocks’ by Coldplay. After a couple of postponements of her Mere Court Wedding, I was thrilled to finally play beautiful Laura down the aisle when she married her lovely partner Fez in the Arboreum. As you can see here they were married in front of this lovely window over looking the gardens at the Mere Court, which is just outside Knutsford. Find out more about Mere Court weddings here https://www.merecourt.co.uk/weddings/
They had chosen one of my favourite songs ‘A Million Dreams!’ which I played for Laura to walk down the aisle.
Friends and family had travelled from all over the UK to celebrate with them and they enjoyed amazing food, drinks and lots of fun here at this wonderful Mere Court wedding. I played throughout the meal for them and then I particularly enjoyed the speeches which were really entertaining.
Laura was kind enough to add this lovely review on my Facebook page.
“Liz played at our wedding in December. She was absolutely wonderful! We had Liz play throughout our meal and it was so relaxing to hear for the guests. Liz plays such a range of songs so nothing was too much trouble when we asked for a request. Thank you so much Liz 💓 xxx”
Wyresdale Park weddings are held in a collection of beautiful rustic barns set in rolling countryside on the outskirts of Scorton, Lancashire. There is a lovely ceremony barn with amazing acoustics, perfect for couples who are looking at having live music in their wedding ceremony. My white piano looks fantastic in this room.

As well as in the ceremony room, the piano can be moved around throughout the day. It’s a lovely option to have a pianist throughout the wedding breakfast too which adds an ambience throughout the meal, without dominating too much, and allowing people to still chat. It also adds a talking point as many people naturally play ‘Name that tune.’ Here is the piano set up for a wedding breakfast. The beautiful flowers are provided by Bluebells and Daisies, who are based at Wyresdale Park Weddings.
Maria and Chris booked me to play throughout their wedding breakfast and had an amazing first meal together as husband and wife, with fantastic food from The Striped Kitchen, who provide the catering here. https://www.thestripedkitchen.co.uk/
They made their entrance into the room as Mr and Mrs Hughes to ‘The You and Me Song’ by The Wannadies. Special Arrangements at Wyresdale Park Weddings
I played for the ceremony and wedding breakfast for Georgia and Ethan who wanted really unique music in their ceremony to reflect their relationship. I did special arrangements of ‘Take on the World’ by You and Me at Six and ‘The World Could End with You’ by Llunr. It was lovely to play music that meant so much to them.

I received a lovely card from them in the post.
Traditional music for Wyresdale Park weddings
In March, Lauren and Daniel booked me to play for them all day, and Lauren choose to walk down the aisle to the more traditional option of ‘Canon in D.’ This made for an absolutely beautiful entrance. They then wanted a more alternative mix of music during the meal which included Indie, dance and rock music.

“Highly Recommend. We met Liz at a wedding fair at Bartle Hall in May 2022. From the moment we heard her playing Bryan Adams as we walked into the venue we knew we wanted to speak to her and find out more. We knew that having Liz playing on our wedding day would be special and she was. Our wedding was 14/1/23 and everyone loved her and the different songs that were being played. Something for all ages. We can’t imagine what the day would have been like without Liz there. Thank you Liz for making our day special. Ewan and Suzanna Simpson x

Andrew and Ruhi were looking for some music at Knowsley Hall for their wedding ceremony and drinks reception. Liz and Mark of http://www.livepiano.co.uk are trusted partners at Knowsley Hall and can usually be found exhibiting in the state dining room at venue open evenings. Ruhi was kind enough to leave this wonderful review for Liz after their wedding in March 2022.
We met Liz and Mark from Live Piano Ltd at a wedding open day at Knowsley Hall and the music was enchanting. It had an amazing effect on our wedding day! The live music provided such a personal touch and brought so much emotion. All our guests loved it and we’ve had so many positive comments. Liz was exceptionally professional and absolutely faultless. She was wonderful from start to finish through the booking process and on the day itself. I would recommend her 100%! It was absolutely perfect and I wouldn’t change a thing. Thank you! Ruhi Pugh
Amy and Ben Birch chose Liz Hendry to play the piano during their Mottram Hall Wedding in the summer. It was a wonderful family occasion and this couple had an amazing day.

Why did you book Liz for your Mottram Hall Wedding?
We visited Mottram Hall on an open day and as soon as we walked in, we noticed a romantic atmosphere and it was the live piano music that made everything feel magical. Liz was warm, welcoming, friendly and asked us if there was a particular song we wished to listen to. We asked for ‘perfect’ by Ed Sheeran and out of nowhere, she started playing it and it was truly amazing! We asked her to check her diary for us straight away!!!
What effect did she have on your wedding day?
Every single guest commented on how beautiful it was during the wedding reception and wedding breakfast. It was brilliant and really helped the day to feel magical.
How Professional was she?
Absolutely faultless!!!! Amazing from initial meeting until leaving us on the day.
Would you recommend her to others?
Absolutely! We have already been asked by one of our friends (who is due to marry next year) so we of course gave her your details/website straight away!!!
Additional comments
Having you play at our wedding was just an amazing part of the day and we would not change a single thing about it! When we asked you to play “Only Fools and Horses” as our entrance song, you were so flexible. We can safely say that listening to it being played for the first time, when we walked in the room, just made the moment feel so much more special and we have it captured on video to remember forever. Every single note was played to perfection and it added a little bit of character and personalisation to our day. We can’t thank you enough for everything you did from start to finish. When we initially had to postpone our wedding, due to the pandemic, you fitted in with our new date straight away and allowed us to few relaxed about everything.
Keep being yourself Liz – you’re truly a very talented pianist with a heart of gold and there will be so many more couples (both before and after us) who will feel the same way as us – truly blessed and lucky to have had to opportunity to incorporate your happiness, smiles and wonderful talent into the best day of our life!

We were lucky enough to book you for our wedding in April and we are so glad we did! You were amazing and totally exceeded our expectations! You made our ceremony so special. The wedding breakfast was so relaxed with you playing, all of our guests commented on how amazing it was! Not only that, but you are a lovely lady who has been a pleasure to deal with right from the start! Thanks Liz, for adding that perfect touch to our big day! xxx

Jessica and John were married at the beautiful Sandhole Oak Barn in Cheshire with bespoke piano music from Liz Hendry who they highly recommend!
Sandhole Oak Barn is a another fantastic cheshire wedding venue. This is particularly nice because they have a lovely, well maintained grand piano in the ceremony room. However, to give the bride and groom flexibility to hold their wedding drinks reception outside by the water, Liz was happy to set up the Dutchgrand white baby grand piano under the pergola by the water. See how they recommend her in their kind review.
Just wanted to say a huge thank you again to Liz for playing at our wedding. We cannot recommend Liz enough. She is so lovely and right from the beginning we knew she would make our day extra special. She has such a wide repertoire and was accommodating to all our requests for the day. Her playing is absolutely stunning and it just added that extra special sparkle to our day. We had so so many comments from our guests about how good she was – one guest even said they wanted to take her home with her!! We would 100% recommend her for any weddings/special occasions.
Thank you again Liz – it wouldn’t have been the same without you!

Mandy and Emily were married in a simply stunning ceremony at Ashfield House with piano music from Liz Hendry
Ashfield House is an award winning wedding venue in Standish. Live Piano Ltd are honoured to be one of the recommended providers for their weddings and we frequently attend their open evenings. This is where Mandy and Emily first met Liz Hendry and heard her piano music. It is a fantastic idea to go and see a wedding venue when it is all set up for a beautiful wedding. We find that our piano music is a great addition to the atmosphere of any wedding venue, particularly so at Ashfield house as our brides will confirm. Check out the kind words Many and Emily sent to us.
The first time we heard Liz was at a wedding open evening at Ashfield House. As we walked into the ceremony room she started playing ‘Heaven.’ It was simply stunning! We looked at each other and knew not only had we found our venue but also the person who would be playing as we walked down the aisle.
On the day she was truly amazing, and even better than we remembered. She set the atmosphere and pretty much brought a tear to everyone’s eye. If you are looking for live piano music for your ceremony, reception drinks or wedding breakfast then look no further. We cannot thank you enough Liz. You were fantastic.

Hayley and Anthony had a lovely ceremony here followed by a full day and evening of celebrations surrounded by their family and close friends. Bartle Hall is such a versatile and stylish venue where the guests can all relax and socialise as the wedding party move around the venue for the different parts of the wedding day. The grounds looked stunning for Hayley and Anthony’s outdoor photographs taken by Kris Clarke Photography and the bar was cosy and festive, a great warm place to rest when the weather outside got a little cold.

Beautiful bride, Hayley walked down the aisle to ‘Kissing You’ from Romeo and Juliet. What a romantic choice! I then arranged ‘The Power Of Love’ by Gabriella Alpin/ Frankie Goes to Hollywood and ‘Real Love’ by Tom Odell/ John Lennon. It’s great to listen to these beautiful modern versions of classic hits and then make my own, instrumental piano version of them to make a special performance for my brides and grooms.
