Everything was so perfect for this lovely couple who looked really stunning on their wedding day and it was lovely to hear all about them both during the speeches. It was so nice to see all the different generations of the family ranging from inspirational Grandparents who have been married for 75 years (yes it’s true) down to the lovely little nephew who is a budding pianist even though he is only 3 years old. In May 2025, Liz played the piano at Highfield Hall for the wedding of Ryan and Emily Phillips. They loved Bridgerton vibes and asked Liz to play a mash-up of wildest dreams and I get to love you for Emily to walk down the aisle.

Huge congratulations to Amy and Matthew who were married at the beautiful Wyresdale Weddings at Wyresdale Park. So much planning had gone into this amazing wedding and everything was perfect for this wonderful couple. Amy looked stunning as she walked down the aisle to my favourite mashup, Canon in D with ‘Can’t help falling in love.’ This one works so perfectly and it’s very adaptable to fit with any size of bridal party. It was a beautiful moment as Amy walked in to ‘Can’t help falling in love.’
I particularly loved that Matthew and Amy chose songs that had featured in both of their parents weddings to be played as they signed the marriage schedule – ‘Always’ by Atlantic Starr and ‘Lady in Red’ by Chris de Burgh I played a selection of songs for everyone during the wedding breakfast.

We met Liz at an open day at Wyresdale Park and the moment we heard her play, I became emotional and knew I had to book her to play me down the aisle.
It just elevated the atmosphere having someone play songs that meant something to us and our families instead of just playing music from a speaker.
She was amazing, friendly and nothing was too much for her.
I would highly recommend Liz to play at any wedding. She was so friendly, approachable and looked genuinely happy to be there. She wasn’t familiar with our exit song but she took the time to learn it for us so we could have the song we wanted which was lovely of her to do
Simone and Daniel were married at the end of May at the beautiful Mytton Fold. I love playing here as it has a wonderful grand piano which can be played during the ceremony and the wedding breakfast in the large function room. I played at my most regular venue, Bartle Hall, for Atlanta and Anthony in May 2025 on a glorious sunny day. I’m the recommended pianist at Bartle Hall and always delighted to be able to play for their open events and trial meals where I get to meet couples who are planning their wedding, and play for them. It was wonderful to meet Atlanta and Anthony and work with them to plan their important song choices. We were so thrilled that it was a sunny day and I was able to play outside for the drinks reception.

Liz played at our wedding for the ceremony, drink reception, and the wedding breakfast. Her music was breathtaking and she ensured all the pieces she played were to our liking. The communication that Liz offered was second to none! She was always available to answer any of our questions on the lead up to the wedding which made us feel at ease amongst the craziness of all the planning. But besides this, what Liz did for my husband and I put the cherry on top… She took two of our most favourite songs, which had no piano sheet music may I add, and created the most perfect mash up for me to walk down the aisle to. Her experience and skills shone through when we first heard the sample and we were totally amazed at what she was capable of. The moment I walked down the aisle was certainly one of the best memories. My husband and I truly felt that the music became the theme tune to the beginning of the rest of our lives together.

We had the absolute pleasure of Liz playing at our wedding on Friday for our ceremony and drinks reception and all I can say is wow! we got our wedding video back last night and being able to watch it back and see all the bits we missed was amazing. Liz is so so talented and it was exactly the kind of atmosphere we were hoping for, all our guests loved it and it was a massive talking point of the day. When we first met Liz, her kindness, professionalism, and amazing skill convinced us immediately that Liz would make our wedding day perfect. We heard Liz play at an open evening and straight away we started the booking process. Subsequently we met many couples and other suppliers who each recommended Liz – so we knew we made the right choice, but we definitely would have been contacting Liz then if we hadn’t had the pleasure of meeting her already.
What effect did Liz’s playing have on your wedding?
Our guests loved Liz’s work and we can’t recount the number of people who told us they enjoyed Liz’s music. Liz really perfected our day and lifted the atmosphere. Incredibly kindly, Liz was able to play something special for our exit music which wasn’t in her repertoire. There’s something extra special that Liz brings to her work – ontop of her brilliant music and skill, Liz’s warm smile and welcoming approach to her work helped us relax and really enjoy our day.

Definitely! The real difficultly came from working with Liz to select the best music for our day! Liz has such a large and varied repertoire that we wanted to hear everything! With such a large, varied and fun repertoire you’ll be able to find many, many songs and pieces you can’t wait to hear.

The booking, contract and deposit and payment process was great. We could keep and download copies of all information and receipts at any time. Liz took time to make sure we understood the booking process, answered all questions we had, and provided us with very clear and easy-to-use website and booking information.

Joy and Ryan were really keen to have modern music in their ceremony and Joy walked down the aisle to Liz’s version of ‘Symphony’ by Clean Bandit, which is a lovely choice and really unique. The exit song was ‘Clocks’ by Coldplay which is a great upbeat tune, full of energy for the Grand Exit. The piano at Sandhole Oakbarn is well looked after and in amazing condition so it’s always a pleasure to play it.
Due to the amazing weather, everyone headed outside for photos during the drinks reception where Liz had set up her portable piano under the clock tower to play and entertain the guests during drinks and canapés from Top Table, who provided the catering for this lovely Cheshire wedding. Liz continued with modern covers of popular songs, everything from Oasis, Louis Capaldi with some film music, dance tunes, and indie and rock thrown in. Andy Griffiths was there taking pictures and family shots in front of the lake, and capturing all the fun in a natural way as it happened on the day.

When Sophie and David got married at Mottram Hall!!!! What wedding! A most stunning bride, gorgeous groom and lovely guests in beautiful surroundings.
Lasting memories weddings and events absolutely smashed it with amazing room dressing and it made for a really romantic setting with live piano music to add to the atmosphere.

Bartle Hall was the setting for this beautiful winter wedding and Claire and Tim were an amazing and lovely couple to work for with great taste in music. Simply The Best – Bartle Hall Pianist
Myself and Tim cannot thank Liz enough for making our wedding day the day it was. It was the most easiest decision to make on hearing her play at the Bartle Hall open day back in April, as soon as we heard her we wanted her! We booked her there and then, had a lovely call with her to go over the song choices and she just got us and what we’re about. We wanted a song from the Lumineers for the brides entrance song. It wasn’t listed on her repertoire but Liz did it for us, absolutely loved it!!!

Whenever I went to a wedding show at Ashfield House it always seemed that Liz was there playing too. Her piano music filled the entire venue and it just added to the brilliance of the venue – I knew I wanted that ambience at my big day! Liz is also the most warm and approachable person too so I was absolutely thrilled when I finally found out she had our date free and she could play our wedding day!
What effect did she have on your wedding at Ashfield House?
Huge! We’re massive music fans and Liz was just accommodating from start to finish! We had a few requests that Liz learnt for us and played like she’d know them forever! She’s an absolute talent! So many guests have commented on how fabulous Liz was! Not only her playing but just how much of a lovely person she is too! I do however apologise for how early our guests started singing along at the wedding breakfast haha! Liz’s playing is completely infectious and she’s just so lovely – you feel she’s one of your guests (that can obviously play piano fabulously!)

Why did you book Liz for your Mottram Hall Wedding?
We visited Mottram Hall on an open day and as soon as we walked in, we noticed a romantic atmosphere and it was the live piano music that made everything feel magical. Liz was warm, welcoming, friendly and asked us if there was a particular song we wished to listen to. We asked for ‘perfect’ by Ed Sheeran and out of nowhere, she started playing it and it was truly amazing! We asked her to check her diary for us straight away!!!
What effect did she have on your wedding day?
Every single guest commented on how beautiful it was during the wedding reception and wedding breakfast. It was brilliant and really helped the day to feel magical.

Absolutely faultless!!!! Amazing from initial meeting until leaving us on the day.

Having you play at our wedding was just an amazing part of the day and we would not change a single thing about it! When we asked you to play “Only Fools and Horses” as our entrance song, you were so flexible. We can safely say that listening to it being played for the first time, when we walked in the room, just made the moment feel so much more special and we have it captured on video to remember forever. Every single note was played to perfection and it added a little bit of character and personalisation to our day. We can’t thank you enough for everything you did from start to finish. When we initially had to postpone our wedding, due to the pandemic, you fitted in with our new date straight away and allowed us to few relaxed about everything.

Lake District Wedding Pianist, Liz Hendry, had a wonderful day playing for Mr and Mrs Tudor at Merewood Hotel in the Lake District. What spectacular views and a beautiful wedding. Kirsty found Liz after a wedding fair when she was looking for a Lake District Wedding Pianist.
We found Liz through her husband who was playing at a wedding fair and I got in touch to see if she was available and willing to travel to the lakes. Thank God she was! Liz is so lovely and was happy to answer any questions we had before the day. We asked for songs from her repertoire but I also wanted my bridesmaids to walk down to the piano version of ‘May it be’ by Enya and it wasn’t a problem. I heard it playing before I walked down the aisle and it was beautiful. I chose to have Jonathan Cain’s version of the Bridal March and I don’t think I’ve had a feeling like it. Just before I walked down the aisle I heard the most beautifully played song and it made the experience absolutely perfect. I couldn’t have hoped for anything better. Liz then played for our drinks reception and wedding breakfast and got the whole place singing along to the Disney songs. Liz performed at our recent wedding on a glorious sunny day at our outdoor wedding ceremony! She very kindly agreed to learn a song we wanted, to play us down the aisle, which she did within days of us booking. She absolutely MADE our wedding day, arriving early so that all our guests received the ambience of her tinkering away as they had pre-ceremony drinks on the terrace, during the ceremony, right through canapés and photos up to our evening reception. We had Liz play at our wedding last week at Sandhole Oakbarn and we can only thank her for the beautiful music and atmosphere this created on the day. We first became aware of Liz through a wedding fair and as soon as we heard her play we were in love. She’s an exceptionally talented pianist and she played everything we asked for during our ceremony and wedding breakfast to an amazing standard. We had so many comments from guests about how great the live music was and there were a couple of times during the day I felt goosebumps because of the music. Sandhole Oak Barn is a another fantastic cheshire wedding venue. This is particularly nice because they have a lovely, well maintained grand piano in the ceremony room. However, to give the bride and groom flexibility to hold their wedding drinks reception outside by the water, Liz was happy to set up the Dutchgrand white baby grand piano under the pergola by the water. Just wanted to say a huge thank you again to Liz for playing at our wedding. We cannot recommend Liz enough. She is so lovely and right from the beginning we knew she would make our day extra special. She has such a wide repertoire and was accommodating to all our requests for the day. The first time we heard Liz was at a wedding open evening at Ashfield House. As we walked into the ceremony room she started playing ‘Heaven.’ It was simply stunning! We looked at each other and knew not only had we found our venue but also the person who would be playing as we walked down the aisle.
On the day she was truly amazing, and even better than we remembered. She set the atmosphere and pretty much brought a tear to everyone’s eye. Styal Lodge is a beautiful, unique, bespoke wedding venue, set in the village of Styal, in Cheshire. It’s a lovely place to get married with gorgeous natural light and wonderful grounds. There is even a lake area where couples can have amazing photographs taken. I love playing there and Styal Lodge offers fantastic acoustics for a wedding pianist.

I loved playing a mash up of Canon in D with the Avengers theme for bridal entrance and lots of other special songs including Nuvole Bianche, From now on, and lots of film themes. Also they asked for some Foo Fighters and other Rock covers.

Liz played at our wedding and I must say she made it even more special. We loved that we could give her some songs that we both loved and to hear them be played was magical plus she even played The Avengers Theme Song for me to walk down the aisle to which is one of my husbands favourite films!
